A farm restaurant inside an equestrian club
İshaklı Çiftlik Restoranı is not a separate venue down the road. It is part of the riding club in İshaklı village and shares the same farm as our stables, paddocks and riding arena. The restaurant and its terrace are where riders catch their breath after a lesson, where families meet, and where the rhythm of the farm comes to the table.
From the terrace you look out over the 35×55 m main arena and the wooded hills beyond. On any open day there is something to watch: a lesson in progress, horses being prepared, or simply the quiet of the countryside on the edge of the city.
The atmosphere is relaxed and unhurried rather than formal. It suits a slow weekend breakfast, an easy-going meal with friends or a small get-together for a special day.
Weekend breakfast and family tables
Weekends are when the terrace is at its liveliest. Many guests come for a long breakfast spread, often with children, grandparents and friends around the same table. Because weekend tables fill up, we recommend booking ahead.
We can also plan a table for a birthday or another small occasion. Tell us the date, the number of guests and what you have in mind, and we will suggest a suitable spot and table arrangement.
- Weekend breakfast spreads in a farm setting
- Tables for the whole family, from children to grandparents
- Small celebrations planned in advance
- Terrace views over the arena and countryside
Combine a meal with a riding lesson
Many families pair a meal with a riding lesson. All our lessons are individual (one-to-one) 30-minute sessions for children and adults, in basic riding and show jumping. While a child rides, parents and siblings can sit on the terrace and watch from above the arena.
If you would like both on the same day, mention it when you book and we will help you line up the lesson time and your table. Members of İSASK Premium, the club's membership programme, receive a 10% discount at the restaurant as well as on riding lessons.
A day out from the city, near Polonezköy
İshaklı is a village in Beykoz at the forest edge north-east of Istanbul, close to Polonezköy and Ömerli. It makes an easy escape from the busier parts of the city for a few hours of fresh air and horses.
Coming by car is recommended, as public transport is limited and involves several changes. The main route is the Kuzey Marmara Motorway (O-7, toll, HGS needed) to Ömerli junction, followed by a short drive on local roads. Weekday rush hours can make the journey much longer, so allow extra time. Our getting-here page has full directions, and detailed Turkish route guides by district are also available.
