One farm, four reasons to come
İshaklı is a small village in Beykoz, on the edge of the forest north-east of the city, close to Polonezköy and Ömerli. The club occupies a single farm there, so everything is in one place: you can take a riding lesson, keep your own horse with us, train for show jumping and then sit down for a meal on the restaurant terrace.
The riding school teaches two disciplines: basic riding (flatwork foundations such as balance, seat and clear communication with the horse) and show jumping. Lessons take place in our 35×55 m outdoor main arena, which has premium silica sand footing and drainage, and in an 18 m lunging ring. The stable has 20 boxes, and the horses go out every day to one of 3 sheltered paddocks with sun shades.
Riders who want to go further can join the club's show jumping training and competition preparation programme, planned individually around each rider's level and goals. Horse owners can use our horse livery service: daily paddock turnout, a feeding plan, daily care and coordination with the vet and farrier.
Why one-to-one lessons on European horses
Every lesson here is individual: one rider, one horse and one instructor for the whole slot. The instructor can correct your position the moment something slips, adjust the pace to how you feel that day, and decide when you are ready for the next step, whether that is your first trot or your first small jump.
The club has a large number of European horses, including dedicated school horses for beginners. Your instructor chooses the horse that suits your level and goals, so a first-timer and a returning rider each start on a horse that fits them.
A helmet is compulsory in every lesson. Helmets are available at the club, and you can also buy your own from us. Lesson packages and fees are agreed in person with our instructors at the club, depending on how often you want to ride and what you want to achieve.
What your first visit looks like

On the day, the instructor asks about your riding background, checks your helmet, introduces you to your horse and starts with groundwork before you mount.
After the first lesson, members choose their next 30-minute slots online in the member panel at app.ishakliatlispor.com. İSASK Premium, the club's membership programme, gives members a personal member card and a 10% discount at the restaurant and on riding lessons.
A day out for families
Children ride on exactly the same one-to-one basis as adults. While a child is in the arena, parents can sit on the terrace of İshaklı Çiftlik Restoranı, which looks out over the arena and the countryside, and watch the lesson over tea or a meal.
At weekends the restaurant serves breakfast and table spreads, so we recommend booking a table in advance. If you'd like a lesson and a meal on the same day, mention it when you book and we'll help you fit the two together.
Getting here from the city
Coming by car is recommended; public transport to İshaklı is limited and usually involves several changes. From most of the city, take the Kuzey Marmara Motorway (O-7, a toll road, so you need an HGS tag), leave at Ömerli junction and follow road 34-06 for about 3 km, then Ayazma Caddesi and Trabzon Caddesi. Typical distances: from Istanbul Airport (IST) 56.6 km, about 50–60 min without traffic via the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge; from Taksim 47.2 km, about 50–60 min without traffic via the FSM Bridge; from Kadıköy 40.5 km, about 45–55 min without traffic.
